UPS Alert SMS Terms & Conditions

Terms for receiving operational alert text messages from the Washington Floral UPS monitoring system
Last updated: August 13, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your participation in the Washington Floral UPS Alert SMS service. By receiving UPS alert text messages, you agree to the terms below.

1. Program Name & Description

Program name: Washington Floral UPS Alert SMS

Program description: Washington Floral sends operational, account-notification text messages from its UPS monitoring system to the enrolled recipient. Messages alert the recipient to UPS power events, battery status, and related equipment notifications so that facility issues can be addressed promptly. These messages are transactional/operational alerts and are not marketing or promotional content.

2. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on UPS events. Under normal conditions you may receive few or no messages. During a power event or equipment fault you may receive multiple alerts in a short period as the situation develops. There is no fixed or scheduled message cadence.

Message and data rates may apply. You are responsible for any message and data charges billed by your mobile carrier for messages received from this service.

3. Opt-In & Consent

Enrollment in the UPS Alert SMS service is configured internally by Washington Floral for the designated recipient. Because this is an operational/account-notification service (not marketing), consent is established through system configuration rather than a customer-facing opt-in form. The enrolled recipient may opt out at any time as described in Section 4.

4. Opt-Out & Help

You can manage your participation at any time using the following SMS keywords:

  • STOP — Reply STOP to any alert message to opt out. You will be unsubscribed and will receive no further UPS alert text messages from this service.
  • HELP — Reply HELP to any alert message to receive support information, including how to contact Washington Floral.

Opt-out confirmation: after sending STOP you will receive a confirmation message indicating that no further messages will be sent.

5. Customer Support

Or reply HELP to any alert message.

6. Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Washington Floral, its messaging providers, and the mobile carriers do not guarantee real-time delivery of any alert message. UPS alert SMS is provided as a supplemental notification channel and should not be relied upon as the sole means of detecting a power event.

7. Service Availability

The UPS Alert SMS service depends on third-party providers (Twilio, mobile carriers, Microsoft 365, SMTP2GO) and network availability. Washington Floral is not liable for interruptions caused by carrier outages, messaging provider failures, or network connectivity issues outside its control.

8. Modifications

Washington Floral may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued receipt of UPS alert messages after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Privacy

Information collected in connection with this SMS service is handled in accordance with our UPS Alert SMS Privacy Policy.

10. Contact
